Protect your private reflections
Please do not attach an export or include private reflection text in a support email. A screenshot can also reveal personal information, so crop or cover anything we do not need to see.
Where your data lives
In Shakirr version 1, your journal is stored only on the device or browser where you created it. Shakirr has no account database or cloud copy that support staff can inspect, restore or reset.
Backups and recovery
Use Shakirr’s export and backup controls in Settings before clearing browser data, replacing a device or uninstalling the app. Because there is no Shakirr cloud backup, we cannot recover data that was removed without an export.
Common checks
If the web app does not update, open it once while online and reload before returning offline. If notifications do not appear, check both Shakirr’s reminder setting and the device-level notification permission. Export your data before reinstalling or clearing app storage.
Support boundaries
Shakirr support can help with the product, but it is not an emergency, medical, mental-health or religious-advice service. The current beta is still awaiting formal review by a qualified Islamic scholar. For details about how the app handles data, read the privacy policy.
